Apple Flatbread

Apple Flatbread. A breakfast or dessert recipe. Made with pie crust, apples in a creamy sauce and a crunchy topping.


Apple Flatbread



Bottom Layer:

2 rolls ready to use pie crust.


36 apples, peeled and sliced

1/4 Cup butter

1/4 Cup powdered sugar

2 Tablespoons cream cheese

2 Tablespoons white chocolate, melted


1 cup Flour

1/2 Cup pecans, chopped finely in a food processor

1 and 1/2 Cups oatmeal

1 and 1/2 Cups brown sugar

Pinch of salt

3/4 Cup cold, unsalted butter


Bottom Layer:

On a cutting board place the pie crust and cut a square. Slice each square into 1 inch long slices. Prick each slice with a fork. Set aside.


In a large sauce pan over medium heat, add the apples, butter, powdered sugar, cream cheese.

Cook, stirring occasionally for about 10-12 minutes or until apples slightly tender.

Stir in white chocolate until melted. Set aside.


Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl and stir together.

Using a pastry cutter, cut in the butter and then use your hands to finish mixing until well mixed.

Place sauce on top of pie crust. Place topping and bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until golden and bubbling.

After baking sprinkle with extra sugar on top while warm if desired.
