  1. Ants: Mix 1/2 cup sugar.1 cup warm water. 2 TBS Borax. and soak a cosmetic pad in the mixture. Allow ants to collect the solution and bring food back to the queen.
  2. Fruit Flies: In a small bowl mix apple cider or wine with dish soap. The soap breaks the surface tension while trapping the flies when they come to eat.
  3. Spiders: Gently mix 1/4 cup of liquid soap with 2 gallons of water. Spray the front of the house and all of the bushes around it using a pump up garden sprayer.
  4. Mosquitoes: Spray yourself with a 16 oz bottle filled with 15 drops of lavender oil, 3-4 TBS of vanilla extract and 1/4 cup of lemon juice. Also grow lemongrass or mint plants around your yard to them coming to indoors.
  5. Cockroaches: Mix equal parts baking soda with equal parts sugar (1/4 cup of each is a good start). Now, all you’ll need to do is sprinkle them in the areas that you’ve seen roaches. You’ll need to leave this bait out and repeat your sprinkling of the mixture often to ensure there is enough to kill the roaches Sugar isn’t the deadly portion of the mixture, but it will work to attract the roaches.
  6. Centipedes: You should leave them alone though, they kill other bugs. They even take care of bed bugs. They do bite, but are harmless. If one’s in plain sight, just sweep it into a container and return it outside.
  7. Bed Bugs: First wash all of your linens in the hottest water possible, and vacuum your home thoroughly. Then apply 100% Pure Diatomaceous Earth powder around the infested area, and eventually, you’ll see dead bed bugs that can be vacuumed away. While it takes as long as 10 days for it to kill them, it has a very high mortality rate at greater than 90%, and it’s also easy to sprinkle in cracks and crevices that can otherwise be hard to get to.
  8. Flies: Mix a natural fly repellent in a spray bottle. Flies will stay away from the scent of cayenne pepper. Mix a little in a spray bottle with water. Spray the cayenne mixture in doorways, window sills and other cracks and corners where flies might try to come in. The smell of the cayenne will keep them out.
  9. Fleas: This home flea remedy involves creating a flea trap using dish soap and some water. All you have to do is fill a plate or bowl with a mixture of warm water and dish soap and place it in the rooms of your house which receive the most flea activity. The water and dish soap solutions act as a glue, trapping the fleas due to the high viscosity of the solution. You should repeat this method with a fresh batch every day.
