Christmas No Cook Divinity.
Bet you thought divinity was hard to make. Not this one. Easy to make and comes out perfect. So delicious you can give them for a Christmas gift.
- 1 pkg. fluffy white frosting mix
- 1/3 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 1 pkg. 16-oz. powdered sugar
- 1 cup cut-up candied cherries or chopped pecans
- 1 drop red or green food coloring - optional
Blend dry frosting mix, corn syrup, water and almond extract in small mixer bowl.
Beat on high speed until stiff peaks form; about 5 minutes.
Transfer to large mixer bowl; blend in sugar gradually on low speed or by hand.
Stir in cherries or chopped pecans and food coloring if desired.
Using piping bag to make swirls and drop onto waxed paper. When candies feel firm, turn and dry at least 12 hours. Store in airtight container.
Makes 5 to 6 dozen candies.
Can be frozen in airtight container up to 2 months.
