Country Style Corn Fritters. Just the way my grandmother made them. Delicious recipe that is crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. Serve for breakfast with maple syrup or as an appetizer.
Country Style Corn Fritters
- 2 eggs beaten
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cups milk
- 2 Tablespoons melted butter
- 1 small can creamed corn
- Oil for frying
Mix all ingredients together to form a wet dough.
Heat oil in a deep skillet until hot
Drop by SMALL spoonfuls into oil and cook 2-3 minutes per side, or until deep golden brown
Remove to paper towel-lined plate to drain.
Serve warm and dipped in maple syrup, if desired.
