Creamed Chipped Beef Gravy. Serve it over biscuits, toast or English muffins. Breakfast at it’s best.

Creamed Chipped Beef Gravy

Creamed Chipped Beef Gravy
  • 2 quart pan
  • 1 stick of butter or margarine melted
  • 6 level tablespoons of flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 small jar of dried beef
  1. Melt butter in pan.
  2. Whisk in flour. If clumpy add a little oil to smooth it out.
  3. Add the milk, whisking from bottom while adding.
  4. Do not add salt because dried beef is salty and will salt the gravy
  5. Add a small jar of dried beef, tear it and add to gravy while whisking.

  6. Bring to a soft but steady boil.

  7. Once it thickens take off of heat.
  8. Turn out into container and serve warm over biscuits, bread or English muffins.

  9. If you have leftovers, add enough milk to bring back to original then reheat.
