By recognizing that you’re having an anxiety attack, instead of a heart attack, you can remind yourself that this is temporary, it will pass, and that you’re OK.
Follow these steps:
Close your eyes and breath deeply in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Then open your eyes and slowly look around you and find…

- 4 things you can touch
- 3 things you can hear
- 2 things you can smell, or 2 smells you like
- 1 emotion you feel
- Picture your self in a HAPPY place: On a mountain top, at the beach, etc.
- Keep some lavender essential oil on hand and put some on your forearms when you experience a panic attack. Breathe in the scent.
