You can turn a soft tortilla shell into a hard shell taco. Hard to believe how simple this is.
Some brands of corn tortillas tend to break in the toaster, especially if the toaster slots are especially narrow. We’ve found that covering the corn tortillas with a damp paper towel and microwaving them for 15 seconds makes them more pliable and prevents breakage in the toaster.

Simply fold your favorite corn or flour tortilla in half and pop it into your toaster. Set it for your desired crispness. I never knew my toaster could do this. Because of this I am now able to take my flour tortillas and make them into hard shell tacos.
