1box pineapple cake mixbaked according to package directions
1 (20 ounce)can of crushed pineapplesaving 4 Tablespoons for whipped topping
1tub whipped topping
Cinnamon to sprinkled on top, optional
Bake according to package directions. Cool.
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and cook over medium heat. When the mixture begins to boil, stir constantly until it begins to thicken, approximately 1 to 2 minutes. Keep in mind that it will thicken even more as it cools. Cool.
Spread over cooled cake.
Let thaw and stir in 4 Tablespoons crushed pineapple.
