Easy Layered Pineapple Cake
  • 1 box pineapple cake mix baked according to package directions
Pineapple Filling:
  • 1 (20 ounce) can of crushed pineapple saving 4 Tablespoons for whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons cornstarch
Whipped Topping:
  • 1 tub whipped topping
Cinnamon to sprinkled on top, optional
  1. Bake according to package directions. Cool.
Pineapple Filling:
  1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and cook over medium heat. When the mixture begins to boil, stir constantly until it begins to thicken, approximately 1 to 2 minutes. Keep in mind that it will thicken even more as it cools. Cool.
  2. Spread over cooled cake.
Whipped Topping:
  1. Let thaw and stir in 4 Tablespoons crushed pineapple.

  2. Spread on top of cooled filling.
Sprinkle cinnamon to top, if desired.

Refrigerate before serving
