Recipe 1:
Peel core and slice four apples:
To get started grab four medium sized apples. Preferably granny smith apples as they are known for their bold flavor. Your first job will be to core and slice all four of your apples. So that they will be ready to go into your skillet.
Melt your butter:
Your next action should be to melt 1/2 a cup of butter in a large skillet.
Measure your cinnamon and sugar:
While your butter is melting on your element, measure 2 tablespoons of ground cinnamon and 1/2 a cup of white sugar. Once you have measured both your cinnamon and your sugar, pour them into your melted butter in your skillet.
Add your apples to your butter:
Now it’s time to add all four of your sliced apples into your butter. You’ll want to leave your apples cooking in your buttery mixture for around 5 to 8 minutes. Until they look properly cooked and have begun to break down sufficiently.
Turn your element off and let your apples cool down:
Once your apples are cooked, turn your element off and wait for your apples to cool down before you serve them up to your friends or family members.
Recipe 2:
Slice 6 red apples:
Instead of opting for green granny smith apples, for this recipe opt for 6 medium sized, tart apples. Make sure to slice up all of your apples before you get started.
Melt 1/2 a cup of butter:
Again you’ll want to melt your butter in a skillet. It’s a great idea to choose to cube your butter so that it melts evenly in your skillet.
Add 3/4 of a cup of sugar to your butter:
Once your butter has successfully melted add 3/4 of a cup of sugar to your melted butter.
Add your red apples to your butter:
Now it’s time to add your six sliced apples to your melted butter and sugar.
Leave your apples in your skillet to cook:
At this stage you’ll need to cover your skillet with a lid for 20 minutes. Make sure that your element is set to a low heat and to periodically stir your apples in your skillet.
Add cinnamon to your fried apples:
After 20 minutes add 3/4 a teaspoon of ground cinnamon to your fried apples, making sure to stir your cinnamon evenly through your apples. Leave your apples to cook for a further 5-10 minutes.
So there you have it. If you are curious about cooking your own fried apples, it’s well worth testing out both of the fried apple recipes that are listed above to find out which one is better.
